Med-Trans Corporation, a leader in air medical transport services, is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician to support our Engineering and Maintenance department in delivering safe, reliable aircraft for critical patient care missions. Med-Trans operates a modern fleet and partners with healthcare systems nationwide, with a strong focus on safety, innovation, and operational excellence. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring that every aircraft is maintained to the highest standards so our clinical teams can provide life-saving care. As an Aircraft Maintenance Technician, you will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on Med-Trans aircraft in accordance with FAA regulations, company policies, and manufacturer maintenance manuals. You will troubleshoot mechanical, structural, and basic avionics discrepancies, determine corrective actions, and complete high-quality repairs that support safe and efficient flight operations. Working closely with pilots, maintenance leadership, and operations staff, you will respond to maintenance needs promptly and help minimize aircraft downtime while never compromising safety. You will be responsible for accurately documenting all maintenance performed, including logbook entries, electronic records, parts usage, and compliance with airworthiness directives and service bulletins. Attention to detail and strict adherence to regulatory and company standards are essential, as your work directly impacts flight safety and the continuity of patient transport services. You will use a variety of hand tools, specialized equipment, and computerized maintenance tracking systems to complete your tasks and keep aircraft in an airworthy condition. Med-Trans fosters a supportive, safety-first culture that values teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement. In this position, you will be expected to actively participate in safety programs, follow all safety management system practices, and contribute to a just culture where hazards and concerns are reported and addressed. You will collaborate with other technicians to share knowledge, assist with complex maintenance tasks, and maintain an organized, clean, and compliant work environment on the hangar floor and at field locations. This role will involve working primarily in an on-site and field environment at hangars and operational bases, with the possibility of occasional travel to remote locations for aircraft recovery, inspections, or field repairs. You should be comfortable working around running aircraft, in varying weather conditions, and occasionally outside normal business hours. Shift work, nights, weekends, and on-call rotations may be required to support 24/7 air medical operations. Ideal candidates will bring a strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to aviation safety. An FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate is strongly preferred, along with experience maintaining rotor-wing or fixed-wing aircraft. Familiarity with Part 135 operations, air medical aircraft, or emergency services is a plus, but technicians with other relevant aviation maintenance experience and a solid safety mindset are encouraged to apply. You should be able to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and service bulletins, and be comfortable using computer-based maintenance systems. Med-Trans is committed to the professional growth of its maintenance team. In this position, you will have opportunities for ongoing training, manufacturer and recurrent courses, and skills development in support of a long-term career in aviation maintenance. You will be part of a mission-driven organization where your technical expertise directly supports patient care and outcomes. Med-Trans offers a competitive compensation package, along with a comprehensive benefits program that may include medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, and retirement savings options such as a 401(k). If you are a dedicated Aircraft Maintenance Technician who takes pride in quality workmanship, embraces a safety-first mindset, and wants to contribute to a team that supports critical air medical missions, we encourage you to apply and join Med-Trans in elevating the standard of care in the skies.
