Job Description
Corridor Flow in Lomita, CA is looking for an experienced Coffee Shop Manager to join our 14 person strong team. We are located on 24614 Narbonne Ave. Our ideal candidate loves people, is a self-starter, ambitious, and hard-working. The manager must first and foremost align with Corridor Flow's vision and mission of a relational vs transactional workplace and coffee shop.
The manager must be flexible, a team oriented individual, and a trustworthy servant-leader who embodies a unique balance of 3 roles that shifts constantly between the shop, the team, and upper management.
Shop: The manager oversees day-to-day operations, and supports store growth by ensuring all inventory is well-stocked and organized. The manager shows care for the shop by enforcing proper use of labor hours matching sale trends, monitoring food sales and waste, and exercising good stewardship of shop resources. This person is not only active and keen on the upkeep of the shop, but also tends to the overall consumer experience for the community.
The Team: The manager serves the team as an advocate who provides the proper training and support necessary for staff to execute their roles efficiently; is someone who takes ownership of the team, and is comfortable with staff delegation and discipline. This role requires someone who has a passion for community, who cheerleads in team morale, and acts as the model standard of how the team should act and behave. This person does not shy away from conflict resolution, and prioritizes holistic over legalistic approach in addressing issues. The manager shows care for the team by ensuring staff are compensated accurately through biweekly timesheets, issuing proper break periods during shifts, and fostering healthy communication within the team.
Upper-Management/The Owners: The manager receives directive from upper-management and implements new updates by ensuring information is properly executed by staff. The manager shows care for upper-management by relaying accurate information to and from staff, acting as a supporting role for growth and ideas, and meeting task deadlines. The ideal person shares the same values and overall vision as upper-management, and ensures the team and the shop conducts its day-to-day towards the same goals.
