Corporate Controller

Augeo is looking for a Corporate Controller at our office located in St. Paul, MN. The Corporate Controller is an integral part of the Accounting and Finance team, leading financial reporting and accounting operations across our multi-entity organization. We are seeking a professional with a strong command of US GAAP, along with a proven track record of developing and administering robust accounting processes and controls. You'll spend your days on the following:

  • Prepare and oversee consolidated financial statements across multiple business units/entities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery to leadership.
  • Own and manage the end-to-end monthly close process across multiple teams, offices, and systems.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for the annual external audit, managing audit timelines, coordinating audit schedules, and resolving auditor inquiries to ensure a smooth, efficient audit process.
  • Develop, document, and implement accounting policies and procedures company-wide; partner with cross-functional teams to drive high adoption through clear communication, training, and change management.
  • Ensure all financial records, disclosures, and internal controls are maintained in accordance with US GAAP and support SOX/internal control compliance as applicable.
  • Partner with FP&A, tax, and business unit controllers to ensure consistent accounting treatment across a fast growing, multi-entity structure.
  • Perform initial-level analysis of monthly and quarterly financial results to identify variances, trends, anomalies, and risk areas ahead of executive and board-level reporting.
  • Maintain banking relationships including setting up new accounts, managing company cards, and being the main treasury administrator.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash management activities.
  • Participate in strategic initiatives and special projects that support the company's continued growth, such as leveraging emerging tools and technologies, including AI.

What you need to be successful in this role:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field; Advanced degree or CPA preferred.
  • 7+ years in accounting/finance role with progressive responsibility; 5+ years in a supervisory role preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of US GAAP with hands-on experience ensuring compliance across financial records, disclosures, and internal controls.
  • Experience with preparing consolidated financial reporting across multiple business units or legal entities, including variance/flux analysis and executive-level reporting.
  • Comfort working with disparate systems, incomplete documentation, and evolving processes, with the ability to bring structure and consistency to ambiguous or disorganized data sets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, along with sound judgment, organizational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement accounting policies and procedures with strong cross-functional adoption.
  • Success with implementing process improvements across teams with the assistance of emerging technologies and AI
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and drive change.
  • Advanced skill level in Microsoft Excel including knowledge of Power Query or other ETL tools.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O is a plus.
