Job Summary We are looking for a skilled Device Testing Engineer with hands-on experience in 4G LTE and/or 5G NR technologies. The candidate will be responsible for validating wireless devices, ensuring performance, interoperability, and compliance with telecom standards. Key Responsibilities Perform functional, regression, and system testing on 4G/5G devices (smartphones, modems, IoT devices). Validate LTE/5G protocol stacks (RRC, MAC, PHY, NAS layers). Execute field testing and lab testing using telecom testing tools. Analyze logs using tools like QXDM, Wireshark, TEMS, or similar. Perform call testing, data testing, throughput, and mobility scenarios (handover, roaming). Work on carrier acceptance testing (CAT) and certification. Identify, debug, and track defects using tools like JIRA. Collaborate with development, network, and chipset teams for issue resolution. Validate VoLTE, VoNR, IMS, and 5G NSA/SA scenarios. Ensure compliance with 3GPP standards. Required Skills Technical Skills Strong knowledge of: 4G LTE / 5G NR technologies Protocol layers (RRC, NAS, MAC, PHY) Hands-on experience with: Log analysis tools (QXDM, QCAT, Wireshark) Testing tools (TEMS, Spirent, Anritsu, Keysight) Experience in: Field testing & drive testing Network troubleshooting Understanding of: VoLTE / IMS / 5G SA & NSA architectures Basic scripting knowledge (Python / Shell) is a plus Preferred Qualifications Experience with device certification (GCF, PTCRB) Knowledge of chipsets (Qualcomm, MediaTek) Exposure to IoT/NB-IoT/5G devices Familiarity with automation testing frameworks Soft Skills Strong analytical and debugging skills Good communication and reporting skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Team collaboration and problem-solving mindset Education Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field
