Job Duties: Workers will perform a variety of duties associated with seasonal crop production on a grain and cattle farm. Duties include planting, weeding, and harvesting crops such as wheat, corn, and silage. Workers will engage in general farm labor, including sorting and packing harvested products and maintaining clean and organized work areas. Employees will assist with hand spraying of crops using appropriate solutions to control insects, weeds, and disease. Workers will operate and tend agricultural equipment used in production, including tractors, combines, and irrigation systems, and may attach implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters. Duties also include loading and unloading crops or materials using hand tools, forklifts, or conveyors, and handling grain for storage and transport. Workers may drive trucks to move crops, supplies, or tools between fields, storage facilities, and designated locations. Additional responsibilities include assisting with planting and fertilizing activities using towed machinery, monitoring crop handling processes, weighing and recording crop information, and participating in post-harvest activities. All tasks are performed under supervision, and workers will support the overall farming operation to ensure timely completion of seasonal agricultural activities. Employees will be provided with adequate breaks, including meal and rest periods, consistent with applicable Federal, State, and local law, during the course of each workday

Special Requirements: No experience is required. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion. Operator License Class D Candidate will have 60 days to obtain. Skill Level I Entry Level Pursuant to the Interim Final Rule (IFR) implementing the new four-level wage system for H-2A occupations, the employer designates this position as Skill Level I Entry Level, indicating that the job requires limited experience and routine supervision consistent with entry-level duties.
