Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fleet Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our fleet vehicles and equipment, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. This role requires a strong background in vehicle maintenance, with a focus on diesel engine repair and heavy equipment operation. Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles, including diesel engines and hydraulic systems on equipment .
  • Utilize schematics to troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively.
  • Operate heavy equipment safely while performing repairs or maintenance tasks.
  • Fabricate parts as needed to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
  • Assemble components for various vehicle systems to maintain functionality.
  • Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to vehicle repairs and maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed on fleet vehicles.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in diesel engine repair and general vehicle maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle schematics and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and effectively.
  • Proficient in fabricating parts as necessary for repairs.
  • Capability to perform heavy lifting tasks as required by the job duties.
  • A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications related to vehicle maintenance are a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail while using safe practices.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
