Location: Blue Ridge Boost, 2171 Ivy Rd, Charlottesville, VA

Position Type : Full-time

Compensation: $25/hour

Start Date : June 1, 2026

Blue Ridge Boost is hiring a full-time instructor to teach and mentor kids in a fun, hands-on learning environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead engaging, hands-on classes and workshops for children and teens.
  • Teach concepts at the high school and AP level in at least one of our core focus areas:  Physics, Mathematics, Coding, or Robotics
  • Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different age groups and learning styles.
  • Supervise students to ensure a safe, inclusive, and fun learning environment.
  • Collaborate with other instructors to develop and refine STEM curriculum and activities.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Subject Matter Expertise: Strong knowledge and proficiency in at least  one of the following areas: Physics, Math, Coding, or Robotics.
  • Experience with Kids: Proven experience working with children or teens (e.g., teaching, tutoring, mentoring, camp counseling, or coaching).
  • Energy & Patience: A highly energetic, patient, and positive attitude with a genuine love for education.
  • Commitment: Must be able to commit to the position for a minimum of one full year.

Schedule Requirements:

This is a full-time position with a dynamic schedule that shifts alongside the academic calendar:

  • Summer Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (during our busy summer camp season).
  • School Year Schedule: Variable hours to accommodate after-school programs. This will include afternoon/evening shifts and some weekend availability.
