Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available at a middle school located in western Chicago. This role focuses on providing support to diverse learners in a dynamic educational environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering specialized instruction tailored to students with diverse learning needs
• Collaborating with general education teachers and support staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Utilizing effective teaching strategies to support student growth in mathematics and other subject areas
• Maintaining accurate records of student progress and behavior
• Participating in team meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices

Qualifications:

• Certification in Special Education
• Experience teaching middle school students, with an emphasis on mathematics preferred
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to adapt instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment

Location:

• Berwyn, IL, in the western Chicago area
