Now Hiring, Slitter Machine Operators

Location: Ottawa IL

Pay: $16.50/HR

Schedule: M-F 6:00am to 4:30pm - no weekends!

Potential for Long term hire!

Express Employment has teamed up with a growing manufacturer in Spring Valley, IL who is looking to add reliable CNC Machine Operators to their team. This role involves checking products for defects, loading and unloading pallets (50+lbs), and requires weekend availability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load and unload large rolls, often using hoists to handle heavy materials safely. Ensure materials are cut to exact measurements as specified by work orders. Monitor the slitting process to produce clean, neat cuts and inspect for edge defects. Perform routine maintenance on the slitter, including, but not limited to, cleaning and ensuring proper tension, while using safety equipment such as manual blade guards.
• Ability to understand and adjust machine settings for different materials. Capacity to maneuver heavy rolls (up to 50 lbs+), standing for long periods. Attention to Detail, meticulousness in measuring, marking, and setting up cuts to prevent material waste. Strict adherence to safety protocols, including wearing required PPE (steel-toed shoes, bump cap, etc.).

note: Candidates must be willing to work in a team setting, have great communication skills (written and verbal), and must be able to pass a background check.
