Position Overview The Part-Time Student Success Coach serves as a mentor to the students participating in the program. The position provides individualized case management and educational plans for participants. The Student Success Coach meets with students on a regular basis and facilitates activities for the program.
What you will be doing •Recruits students to participate in the program
•Presents and promotes projects to organizations
•Serves as a mentor to program participants
•Meets with participants in sessions designed to increase motivation, achievement and academic success
•Identifies resources for participants
•Assists in the planning and execution of program activities
•Assists participants with admissions, enrollment, educational and financial information
•Verifies participant eligibility
•Processes participants forms and documents, as needed
•Performs other duties as assigned
What you need to succeed •High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent and two years of college (60 credits) from a regionally accredited institution in a related area and one (1) year of related experience.
•All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
•Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures
•Knowledge and proficiency in computers, especially Microsoft Office applications
•Ability to work independently and take initiative and responsibility for scheduling individual sessions with program participants
•Possess strong oral and written communication skills
•Ability to meet deadlines and with attention to detail
•Ability to work a flexible schedule to include evening and weekend assignments
•Ability to work well with students, faculty and staff
