Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Math Teacher to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate will have expertise in their subject area, a passion for mentoring upper school students, and a commitment to integrating Christian values into their instruction.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, rigorous instruction in mathematics.
• Foster a challenging yet supportive learning environment that encourages academic excellence and personal growth.
• Integrate biblical principles into daily lessons, discussions, and student interactions.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing meaningful feedback and academic support.
• Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and independent learning.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with parents to support student success.
• Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership to enhance the curriculum.
• Participate in school activities, events, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Education or a related subject area.
• Valid state teaching certification (or eligibility to obtain one).
• Experience teaching middle school students is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of subject-specific content, curriculum standards, and best teaching practices.
• Excellent classroom management, communication, and leadership skills.
• Commitment to the Christian faith and the mission of Parkhurst Academy.
