The Electrician Specialist Plays a Critical Role in Ensuring the Reliability and Efficiency of Electrical Systems Used in the Thermoforming Manufacturing Process. This Position Is Responsible for Performing Planned Electrical Maintenance, Troubleshooting and Repairing Equipment Such as Blenders, Crystallizers, Dryers, Extruders, Formers, Trim Presses, Conveyors, and Grinders. Key Responsibilities Include Diagnosing Issues with AC/DC Motors, PLC-Controlled Systems, Heaters, and Safety Circuits, as Well as Implementing Performance-Enhancing Equipment Modifications. The Role Requires Proficiency with Maintenance Management Systems, Adherence to Safety Protocols, and Strong Technical, Problem-Solving, and Organizational Skills. Computer Literacy and the Ability to Maintain Accurate Work Records Are Essential.

Responsibilities

• Performs Planned Electrical Maintenance on All Equipment and Machinery for the Thermoforming Process to Ensure the Integrity of Electrical Systems
• Diagnoses, Troubleshoots and Repairs/Maintain All Equipment and Machinery for the Thermoforming Process Including Blenders, Crystallizers, Dryers, Extruders, Formers, Trim Presses, Conveyors, and Grinders
• Troubleshoots AC and DC Drives and Motors; PC and PLC Controlled Systems; Heaters, Thermocouples, and Heat Controllers; Safety Circuits
• Modifies New and Existing Equipment for Performance Improvements and Upgrades
• Uses Maintenance Connection to Record and Close Work Orders Accurately and in a Timely Manner
• Responsible for Ensuring Housekeeping in Area(s) of Responsibility Are Safe, Clean and Tidy
• Follows All Company Established Rules and Policies
• Adheres to All Safety Rules and Regulations
• Analytical, Problem Solving, Project Management, Strong Technical/Functional Skills, Customer Service, Interpersonal Skills, Oral Communication, Written Communications, Teamwork, Judgment, Organized, Mechanical Aptitude, Electrical Aptitude, Detail Oriented
• Must Have Computer Skills to Navigate Computerized Maintenance System Software and Email

Qualifications

• 4+ Years Related Experience as a Plant Electrician
• 2 Year Electro-Mechanical Technical Degree Preferred
• HS Diploma or Equivalency
• Must Be Knowledgeable in Electrical Systems, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Blue Print Reading (Mechanical/Electrical), Understanding of Welding and Fabrication
• Previous Electrical Experience with Troubleshooting Capabilities; Previous Mechanical Experience with Troubleshooting Capabilities
• Must Be Knowledge of PLC and PC Controls
• Prefer Experience Using Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi and Omron Systems
• Must Have Own Tools and Be Able to Use Them Safely and Effectively
• Ability to Work with Others Effectively as a Part of a Team Is Essential
• Flexibility to Work Overtime and Off Shifts as Needed

Physical Requirements and Work Environment: (If Applicable)

• Ability to Stand, Walk, Bend, Stoop, Kneel, Crouch, and Climb Ladders for Extended Periods
• Frequently Required to Lift and Carry Up to 50 Pounds Independently
• Use of Hands and Arms to Handle Tools, Operate Machinery, and Perform Maintenance Tasks with Precision
• Comfortable Working in a Variety of Environmental Conditions, Including Hot, Cold, Wet, Dusty, or Noisy Areas
• Visual Acuity to Read Technical Documents, Safety Warnings, and Perform Detailed Inspections
• Ability to Respond to Auditory Signals, Alarms, and Verbal Instructions
• Must Be Able to Wear Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as Required by the Task
