Job Description

Coronet currently has an opportunity for a Junior Lighting Designer on-site in our Totowa, NJ location. This role offers hands‑on experience with concept sketches, 3D modeling, AGI photometric analysis, and design documentation—perfect for someone ready to develop strong technical and design foundations.

Responsibilities:

• Produce concept sketches, 3D models, and design intent drawings for custom lighting solutions
• Assist in the development lighting design concepts, documentation, and deliverables for each project
• Prepare and support illustrated lighting design presentations f
• Maintain design standards and consistency across custom work
• Revise drawings based on customer input and senior designer feedback
• Utilize AGI32 to photometrically model and test designs
• Support the sales team by assisting in educating specifiers on product capabilities and design applications

Experience:

• BS in Architecture, Engineering, Design, or a related field (preferred)
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings
• Experience with AutoCAD
• Experience working in a team environment to solve complex design or technical problems
• Prior lighting design experience
• Experience with AGI32
• DIALux experience is a plus
