In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of complex tax issues for a diverse range of clients. This is not your average tax position; this role offers the chance to develop your technical skills while working in a fast-paced, challenging environment. The Senior Tax Accountant will be responsible for managing and coordinating tax audits, preparing tax returns, and advising clients on tax-related issues. Responsibilities: As a Senior Tax Accountant, your responsibilities will include: * Preparing and reviewing federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts. * Conducting research on complex tax issues and providing guidance to clients. * Managing and coordinating tax audits and inquiries by various taxation authorities. * Assisting with tax planning and consulting engagements. * Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of current tax practices and changes in tax law. * Assisting in the development and implementation of tax strategies to minimize clients' tax liabilities. * Training and mentoring junior staff members. * Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations. Qualifications: The ideal candidate for the Senior Tax Accountant position will have the following qualifications: * A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA certification or Master's degree in Taxation is highly preferred. * A minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax. * Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local tax codes and regulations. * Experience with S Corp, income tax, audit, and tax. * Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve complex tax issues. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. * Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. * Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite. * The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
